OK, this one may seem like overkill, but we have had the glass cracked in the door before.

Please latch the door while sailing. The latch is located in the lower left corner outside. If the door isn’t latched it runs the risk of slamming shut.

We also encourage you to lock the door when you leave the boat. BVI is a very safe place, but why encourage theft.

To latch the door, the knob must be turned sideways. Once the door is closed, turn the knob vertical. The keys are in the navigation station. We recommend hiding the keys somewhere so they aren’t lost and if someone comes back early to the boat they aren’t locked out.
