Fueling
Aristo-Cat II has 2 fuel tanks, each holding 40 Gallons (181 litres). Each engines draws from its own tank. The tanks are located forward in the anchor well.
During the week you will use approximately 9 gallons (41 liters). You will not need to refuel during your charter. At the present time I have not been able to calibrate the fuel tank gauges, so they are not accurate. You will need to refuel when you end your charter at the Nanny Cay fuel dock.
Each fuel fill is opened with a standard winch handle. Please be careful not to break the chain holding the cap on. Inside of each fuel fill is a Vetus Splash Stop. If you use a pump with an automatic shut off you should not spill fuel on the deck. However in BVI not all pumps shut off automatically, so do not fuel without watching the tank. When you hear the tank starting to gurgle you are filled.

There are two emergency fuel shut offs for each engine. One is at the very bottom of the anchor well hidden below a small fake floor. The second is located in the engine compartment on the forward bulkhead.
Should you spill fuel on the deck, please immediately put dish soap on the spill. Dishsoap will quickly breakdown the fuel. This also prevents staining on the deck.
