Docking
We have 5 fenders and numerous dock lines located in the anchor wells. There are three 30 ft dock lines and one 50 ft line plus several shorter lines.
When docking please use all 5 fenders and notice the height they need to be set. Tie one to the handle on the sugar scoop, to protect the end of the scoop. You will need, bow, stern and a spring line. Make sure all the lines are run under the lifelines.
Have all these items prepared prior to landing, it amazes how many people aren’t prepared. This is where damage occurs!
Move the dinghy to the opposite side of the boat. Have the painter short so you do not back over it.
Make sure you give your crew clear directions.
For docking, you just need 1 line attached to the dock, you can then slowly back down or go forward to swing the other end in.
