Air Conditioning
Free Spirit II is equipped with dockside air-conditioning only, you must be connected to shore power. The control panel for the unit is located at the nav station, which will always be the hottest spot on the boat. It will read about 10 degrees warmer than the boat actually is.
The control panel is simple to operate.

You can control where the air goes, by opening and closing vents and doors. Remember cold air sinks so the cabins will be nice and chilly.
Troubleshooting
If the air-conditioning is not cooling, then the raw water strainer may be clogged. This strainer is located in the port forward cabin under the berth. There is a hidden sub floor that must also be lifted.

From this photo the strainer is at the bottom. Turn the unit off first. Before you remove the strainer the thru hull fitting must be closed or you will flood the boat. One the thru hull is closed, remove and clean the strainer. Return the strainer, open the thru hull, check for leaks and restart the unit. You can check the overboard output by looking between the hulls on starboard side.
If you have cleaned the strainer and the AC starts, but then display says HYPR, that means you have a airlock from when you changed the strainer. Try again or disconnect the hose from the pump and turn the unit on, then QUICKLY reattach and tighten the hose.
Air not blowing: Occasionally the unit is running, but no air is coming out. This is due to the main unit freezing over. The main unit is located underneath the forward settees in the main salon. Turn off the unit and let it thaw slowly itself or put a warm water sponge on the ice and it will thaw. There is a filter located there, and if it needs to be cleaned then that can also cause icing.
